About me

  In my calligramme project, I started with writing a letter to my future self in 20 years. My letter describes my hopes and dreams of who I want to become and the person I strive to be. I hope to achieve my educational and career goals along my journey. I want to use my talents, resources, and privilege to create a positive impact on the world. I sketched a car and used illustrator tools to make the car into my calligramme piece.            I created the car to symbolize my journey of growing as a person. The journey is finding out who I am and who I want to become. In Illustrator, I used the pen tool to trace the shape of the car. I added different parts of my letter using one of the text tools and made the words into the shape of the car. It is very helpful how the tutorial explains what each panel around the workspace is for. I think the rectangle tool will be easy for me to use help to create different shapes. With the rectangle tool, you click and drag to create a shape of the size and proportion you want. You can use Alt and Shift to move or lock the location and size of the shape.  The pen tool will be more difficult to get the hang of because it’s hard to learn.
