Interent, WWW<, bluetooth and WIFI essay.
The Internet and the World Wide Web also known as the Web are very similar but also different which is important to understand. Most people use these terms interchangeably believing they are the same. The WWW is one of the key services offered by the Internet. (scaler.com) Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau founded WWW in 1989. It was originally used to meet the demand for automated information sharing between universities and institutes around the world. (Home.CERN) Now the web is simply web pages with the ability to be viewed on your computer or any device using the internet. ICANN is an organization that manages protocols such as IP addresses.
The internet was founded by Bob Kahn in 1989 with his help in developing the TCP/IP in 1943. TCP is a communication that enables application programs and computing devices to be used over networks. The internet was originally a way for the government to receive and share information. The internet is a system of interconnected computers where the web runs. This also allows data and emails to pass (scaler.com). The Internet provides so many things for entertainment and work like online video games, emails, calls video chats and so much more.
Both the Internet and the WWW are similar because you connect the Internet to the web, but the Internet is just a connection on many computers and devices. Without the Internet, there would be no World Wide Web. The difference is that the web runs off a network of interconnected computers. All the information on the www is accessed through the Internet. Millions of computers connect to thousands of networks while the www is billions of pages that are accessed through the Internet. Fiber cables and copper wires are just some of the various physical media used to set up the Internet.
On August 6th, 1991, the first website was introduced to the world. The first website at CERN was info.cern.ch. This website was software in the public domain on the World Wide Web. This website has been up and running ever since it was dropped in the late 1900’s. CERN explains how the universe works and how it is made. It’s mainly used by the restoration team to document resources, ideas, and leads. If anyone is ever curious about the web beginnings this is the website where to find all the information.
Hedy Lamarr was an Austrian-American actress and inventor. She was on big-screen films like Samson and Delilah and white cargo. Hedy pioneered the technology that one day formed the basis of today's Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS (women's history) From being the inventor of WIFI Hedy was given the name “mother of WIFI). She created WIFI by manipulating radio frequencies at irregular intervals between transmission and reception. (Women's history) Jonny Depp and Jeff Beck both wrote a song called “this song for miss Hedy Lamarr” They both wanted to tribute to the actress for all the amazing things she did after she passed. Hedy died at age 85 from heart disease. A female known for her brilliance and Beauty.
Jaap Haartsen has been working in wireless communications for over 25 years. In 1994, he created foundations that later created Bluetooth wireless technology. He gave technology the ability to connect to an endless array of devices without wires or cables. Jaap was the founder and the person who named Bluetooth. The name came from the king Bluetooth relies on a short range of radio frequencies. The secret of the Bluetooth logo is the bear's initials of a 10th-century Danish king “Harald Bluetooth Grimsson”. The logo is a bind rune merging the younger futhark runes and herald initials.
Vic Hayes also known as the father of WIFI was head of the committee that introduced the international standard for wireless networking in 1997. This allowed radio waves to jump onto different frequencies. In 1991 WaveLAN was the name of the first wireless products. WaveLAn also got credited for inventing WIFI. The name was created by a marketing firm hired by WECA and chosen for its pleasing sound. Wi-Fi was coined by the Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance. This alliance was a global nonprofit organization created to promote the new wireless standard. WIFI stands for wireless fidelity which was cropped in 1999. It’s used as a more friendly way of describing the wireless standard IEEE 802.11. 802.11 is a standard that was developed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. A firm called Wireless Fidelity Alliance allows people to access high-speed internet.
