propaganda

As we see i used my selfie to trace an image of my face in Illustrator. I used the pen tool and shapes to create the features of my face. once I fully traced my face I gave it color to bring it to life. I used the "we want you propaganda as inspiration to create my pet peeve propaganda. I traced the soldier using the pen tool and gave it color. once it had color I put my traced selfie and army body together to create a full soldier with my face. 
My propaganda is a pet peeve of mine when new drivers drive slowly. I chose a soldier because it is more intimidating. I used different layers to have certain features and give them color. The solider is pointing at a slow driver telling them to drive faster. Illustrator helps me bring this propaganda to life.

  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NBKRywEbNs   In this 10-minute Adobe Illustrator video I find it very interesting that when you hover the mouse over a tool it shows a small video of the purpose of the tool. It is very helpful how the tutorial explains what each panel around the workspace is for. I think the rectangle tool will be easy for me to use help to create different shapes. With the rectangle tool, you click and drag to create a shape of the size and proportion you want. You can use Alt and Shift to move or lock the location and size of the shape.  The pen tool will be more difficult to get the hang of because it’s hard to learn.
